Today’s top performing companies all have one thing in common: they’ve learnt to master constant change and thrive through the unpredictable. In a world where business disruption never stops, industry leaders need to foster flexibility, embrace the ‘growth mindset’ and be ready to hit any curveball the market throws next.

At the 20th Strategic Partner Meeting in Vienna, we provided a forum for some of the greatest trailblazers and minds in the digital business space to openly share their experiences and strategic advice for staying on top with our esteemed community.

Insights into BOC Group’s Strategy

The conference kicked off with the Management Board giving an interesting insight into the business development of the BOC Group. “Over the past four years, since the last SPM in 2018, our new customer base has grown by over 50 percent”, said Franz Bayer. The current annual turnover is beyond 40 million euros. What’s more, our international expansion has been rapid. “We have a truly global footprint,” said Bayer. The BOC Group now employs 276 people from 42 countries and works with around 120 partners across all continents. The regional support in our core markets is provided by the established regional offices.

Christian Lichka then elaborated on our trajectory in the coming months and years. The company’s three core products empower the introduction of digital twins across all levels of an organization: the BPM suite ADONIS for comprehensive Business Process Management, ADOIT for Enterprise Architecture and ADOGRC for the management of Governance, Risk & Compliance scenarios. Lichka emphasized how closely the three core products are integrated with one another, as well as with an ecosystem of other best-of-market business applications. This is illustrated by the respective marketplaces available for BPM (ADONIS), EA (ADOIT) and GRC (ADOGRC).

For further development of the products, BOC Group follows concrete strategic principles, said board member Harald Kühn. The central pillars are: simplicity and intuitive use. In other words: “Users must be able to put together charts with little effort, without significant prior knowledge and share them with their colleagues,” said Kühn. And lastly, all our services should also be available as cloud service, managed service (such as administration work, quality assurance and data maintenance) or partner service in cooperation with technology partners who focus on complementary offerings.

To wrap things up, Robert Woitsch shed some light into BOC Group’s Research & Innovation agenda, specifically referring to the experimental testing that’s part of the OMiLab, an NPO founded by BOC Group, dedicated to the promotion of innovation and digital transformation through the so-called “Open Model Labs”.

Customers Sharing Their Experiences First-Hand

At the heart of the two-day conference were the best practice presentations and workshops surrounding the topics of BPM, EA and GRC. Speakers featured some of BOC’s reference customers, including companies such as Allianz, Molson Coors, Novartis, the shoe manufacturer On, Roche, Swedbank, Uniqa or Victorinox.
