Report from the BPM Conference in Vilnius
A gathering of the BPM community and conversations about the future of process management
On 27 November, we took part in the BPM Conference in Vilnius organized by our Gold Partner: IK consulting (Informacinės konsultacijos). The event brought together experts, process architects, transformation leaders and practitioners who shape process maturity in their organizations every day. Discussions focused on the growing importance of digitalization, automation and BPM as a key pillar of operational resilience.
The conference also provided an opportunity to highlight the scale of BOC Group’s global activities. Today, we work with more than 1,500 customers worldwide, support over 275,000 freemium users, employ 300+ experts from more than 40 countries, and continue to record over 30% year-on-year growth in global business development. These numbers clearly reflect the rising demand for mature, intelligent and data-driven process management.
The future of BPMS tools
One of the most important moments of the event was the presentation by Harald Kühn, Member of the Board at BOC Group, titled “Application and Future of BPMS Tools.” Harald outlined the strategic direction for BPMS technology and demonstrated how artificial intelligence is redefining the entire Process Management Lifecycle (PMLC).
He showcased a comprehensive suite of AI-powered BPM capabilities: automatic process understanding, process summaries, AI-generated designs, extraction of processes from documents, SOPs and spreadsheets, as well as advanced AI-based analysis enabling fast identification of gaps and optimization opportunities. Participants also saw natural-language interaction with the process repository and integration with the MCP platform, enabling users to access process knowledge through simple text queries.
Harald emphasized that the future of BPM lies in systems that empower business users, accelerate decision-making, improve data quality and enable full transparency and auditability. These areas—productivity, transparency, innovation, compliance and resilience—form the three strategic fields of action that guide BOC Group’s development.
From modelling to execution – practical perspectives
The second keynote, “From Process Modelling to Process Execution,” delivered by Michał Kossowski, Managing Director at BOC Information Technologies Consulting in Poland, demonstrated how organizations can reduce the gap between process design and real-world execution using low-code/no-code platforms.
A highlight of the session was a case study showcasing the transformation of a budgeting process which, after being redesigned and automated with ADONIS Process Automation, delivered 83 additional working days per year and 35% cost reduction. This example demonstrated how moving from manual activities to automated workflows eliminates errors, speeds up execution and ensures full transparency and compliance.
Michał stressed that effective automation starts with a deep understanding of AS-IS processes, identifying automation potential using data, AI Assistants and process mining, and implementing workflows that support real business needs. Thanks to ADONIS capabilities – including form design, role and logic definition, integration with ERP, CRM and DMS systems, and real-time monitoring – automation becomes accessible, fast and scalable.
Gold Partnership with IK consulting – recognizing long-standing collaboration
A special moment of the event was the ceremony honouring IK consulting with the BOC Group Gold Partner Award. The distinction reflects over two years of partnership, joint initiatives and ongoing contribution to the development of the BPM community in the Baltic region. IK consulting has long supported organizations in their digital transformation and the adoption of BPM best practices, making the partnership with BOC Group a cornerstone of their consulting activities.
