Online Round Table “Current Challenges for EAM in 2022/23”.

Robert Strobl, member of the BOC Austria management board, will shed some light on the topic of “EAM as a bridge between strategy, business and IT!” at the next CON•ECT Eventmanagement Round Table on the 7th of March, 2022.

A few years ago, the focus in the Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) community was more on application and technology architecture. In the meantime, the areas of “strategy” and “business” are increasingly becoming part of EAM projects: Capability Management, Process and Functional Architecture. In addition, the risk and security aspects are also gaining more traction and importance over time too (e.g., cyber resilience).

In our view, this represents the next step in the maturity of the EAM discipline: The “old” demarcation discussions around CMDBs and UML-based software engineering have now finally been settled. This broader, holistic view therefore also sets the stage for the integration with other management systems in companies, such as BPM (process management) and GRC (governance, risk & compliance). Last but not least, the acceptance of standards such as ArchiMate has also created liberation from this old “silo thinking”.

This online roundtable will kick off the EAM Conference taking place on the 27th of April, 2022.

We would be very happy to welcome you at the Round Table.
