In addition, they were looking to keep records of their documentation, establish controls and assess existing practices to stay ahead of compliance requirements and be audit-ready at all times.

Summary of the Process Optimization Case Study at Ninja Van

BOC Group: Welcome, Duangkamol. Thank you for accepting the invitation to be interviewed today. Could you please tell us a little bit about Ninja Van?

Duangkamol Karipetch: Ninja Van started operations in Singapore and has become the region’s largest and fastest-growing last-mile logistics company, with a network covering six countries across Southeast Asia in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. In fact, Ninja Van Thailand is Southeast Asia’s leading logistics provider.

BOC Group: Why did Ninja Van want to purchase a BPM tool?

Duangkamol Karipetch: We decided to buy a BPM tool because we were looking to structure up the knowledge base of the company, such as the DCC (Document Control Center) and the SOP developments. At the same time, we wanted to ensure that operational performance runs consistently to be always ready for audits, as well as identify and initiate areas of process improvements to achieve our ultimate goal in projects.

BOC Group: What main challenges did you think a business process management tool would solve?

Duangkamol Karipetch: As we set up the quality management system in Ninja Van Thailand, we needed to do a lot of SOP/WI development with process flow diagram drawing. At this point, we started to look for a tool or system that could help us to avoid those paper or spreadsheet basis and to improve operating structure and efficiency by process mapping.

BOC Group: What did you like most about ADONIS?

Duangkamol Karipetch: What I love about BPM suite ADONIS is that it lets us save time we used to spend for manual handling of paperwork in our old analogue review and approval processes. Thanks to it we can focus on our core business and do it even better, faster and easier.

BOC Group: Has ADONIS helped Ninja Van? If so, how?

Duangkamol Karipetch: ADONIS has supported us in many ways as I’ve mentioned so far, but I’d like to highlight that with the BPM tool from BOC Group we’ve been able to reduce the cost in DCC (Document Control Center) for our HC (Head Count) requirement.

BOC Group: What models have you built so far in the tool?

Duangkamol Karipetch: We’ve used ADONIS for process modelling, process drawing and process mapping. Moreover, we’ve also automated the release workflow with the tool.
