AI-optimized Communication for Emergency Scenarios
Resilient communication infrastructure is required to support rapid, transparent decision-making in critical emergency situations. The AI4Emergency project, coordinated by BOC, conceptualizes, experiments and tests AI-supported communication technologies such as 5G and intelligent network configurations to ensure reliable, low-latency performance in safety-critical scenarios like natural disasters. By modelling real-world emergency scenarios, corresponding infrastructure and applying AI-based optimization (e.g., network slicing), the project facilitates efficient resource management and validates scalable solutions through simulation and realistic lab demonstration. BOC focuses on modelling and orchestrating the connectivity among emergency domain scenarios, AI-services, and communication infrastructure including underlying data points.
